Paying for a Domain You Have Won
The Domain Name Auction service sends a winning bid email message to notify you when you won an auction. You are given a maximum of 10 days to pay for the domain that you won. Two reminder notices are provided to you within those 10 days. If payment is not received by the 10th day, the auction for that domain starts again and your account is revoked.
Notes:
Winning bids may be subject to a renewal fee for the domain; the winning bid amount does not include the renewal fee. The renewal fee registers the domain name to the auction winner for one year. If a renewal fee is applied, your auction provider will determine this amount and will notify you of the cost. You may be billed in a separate transaction for the renewal fee.
If won in auction, the domain is placed in escrow and held for 100 days total from the expiry date, with a 24 to 48 hour margin. Although rare, it is possible to win an auction, but not be granted the domain if the original owner redeems the domain while the domain is in escrow. If this happens, the credit card used to pay the winning bid will be refunded within 10 business days after the date that the domain was redeemed.
