60% Increase in Secondary Domain Sales
Sedo has published a study looking into the secondary market in 2007. Some of the reports conclusions are as follows:
- .COM remains the most frequently sold TLD (76% of all sales)
- .DE is strongest selling ccTLD (4′954 sales)
- In 2007 domains amounting to $72.2m were sold, a 60% increase on 2006.
- .COM prices have risen by average of 54%

It will be great they use part of the benefices to employ more people. My feeling is they are overloaded.
Just this morning I received the authentication code for a domain purchased +3 months ago!

3+ months is a little extreme, it does sound like they maybe overloaded. As you say, lets hope this cash goes back into the operation.
The figures are impressive though, it will be interesting to see how they fare this year.
