The Open Source software Pligg has allowed a host of Digg-style clones to emerge, all serving niche markets. I’m a big fan of the Sphinn project developed by Danny, Rob and Michelle, targeting the online marketing crowd. The format works well and allows an industry focus which is often lost in the noise at the more general portals.

So I was happy to see the launch of
DNHour, which is following the same footsteps. Users are free to submit their own articles or ones they have found interesting, and comment/vote on them. Time will tell if they can build up the community, traffic and content but it looks a site to keep to eye on. Good luck to them.
